The Pandemonium in Karnataka Politics over Ministerial Berths

A rebellion is taking place in the newly elected alliance between Congress and JDS. As H D Kumaraswamy, Chief Minister of Karnataka after due consultation with the Congress high command and local Congress leaders have announced a list of 25 ministers. Obviously, he cannot create berths for every one of the hopefuls. Rahul Gandhi gave importance to youth leaders which left the elders fuming. As they have a marginal lead over opposition these disgruntled elements can topple the apple cart. CM kept 12 portfolios to his party and rest went to Congress. The Congress leaders such as M.B. Patil, H.K.Patil, and Satish Jarkiholi took to streets with their followers over the issue. N.A Haris and his followers protested in front of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee Office and police was called in to control it. There are still some6 allotted portfolios with the Congress party that need to be filled. The central high command is watching the drama very closely. The Yeddyurappa and his party is watching these incidents gleefully and may use the unrest to their advantage. If any untoward thing happens to the nascent government it is not the hopes of the alliance only, but the hopes of all opposition parties in the country, who were planning to put an end to the Modi government, will also be dashed.
