Vijayawada Women Sessions Court has Sentenced life to the three accused in sensational murder case of Naga Vaishanvi. The Three are A1 Merla Srinivasarao, A2 Vemparala Jagadeesh and A3 Pandi Venkatarao Goud.
Naga Vaishnavi, the 10-year-old daughter of Prabhakar Goud and his second wife, was kidnapped by two bike-borne youths on January 31, 2010. She was on her way to school along with her elder brother in a car. After intercepting the car, they killed the driver and kidnapped Vaishnavi.
Police found the charred remains of Vaishnavi were found in a high-voltage furnace in Autonagar in Guntur town On February 3, 2010. Hearing this shocking news, Prabhakar Goud suffered a heart attack and died immediately.
According to the police, three relatives of Prabhakar’s first wife conspired to kidnap Vaishnavi in order to force him to part with huge property he owned in favour of the first wife. The kidnapping went sour as the girl died due to suffocation due to the tight handkerchief tied around her mouth. The assailants panicked and decided to do away with the evidence by burning her body in a furnace.
The Vijayawada police arrested the three accused and sent them to remand, from the last 7 years they are spending jail life as court didn’t give them bail. Court today pronounced three are guilty and given life sentence. But the women associations accused that, the prosecution was failed in proving the evidences otherwise the culprit would get Death Sentence.
